Jets vs. Lions Second Half Thread

NFL: New York Jets at Detroit Lions Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets lead the Lions 17-10 at halftime.

The game could not have begun in more catastrophic fashion. On his first NFL snap from scrimmage, Sam Darnold threw a brutal pick six.

From that point on, the Jets largely dominated the first half, and they head to the locker room with a lead. On offense, the Jets put up 17 points. Darnold’s first career touchdown pass was a 41 yarder to Robby Anderson.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets held the Lions to a field goal to end the first half. They have also picked off Matthew Stafford twice.

The bad news for the Jets is two of their top three cornerbacks left the game with injuries. Trumaine Johnson headed to the locker room after taking a big hit on an interception return, and Buster Skrine left late in the first half after a collision with Darryl Roberts.
