The Oakland Raiders have traded premier pass rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears. The Raiders will receive the Bears 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first round pick, 2020 third round pick, and 2019 sixth round pick. In exchange, the Bears will receive Khalil Mack, the Raiders 2020 second round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth round pick.
This ends the hopes of many Jets fans that general manager Mike Maccagnan might massively upgrade the Jets’ anemic pass rush by adding Mack to the team. There are few equals to Khalil Mack in the NFL, and no pass rushers anywhere close to his talent level are rumored to be on the trading block. Jets fans will have to content themselves with the possibilities of a lesser trade for somebody like Dante Fowler Jr., the possibilities for development of the current young Jets pass rushers, and/or the possibilities of drafting or trading for one next year.
