Jets training camp news and live updates 8/4

NFL: New York Jets-Training Camp Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Jets hold their annual Green and White Practice. Unlike years past, this year’s version will not take place at MetLife Stadium. Rutgers University is the host instead. As of a few years ago, the event is no longer a full-time scrimmage. These days, it is more of a regular training camp practice with a couple of bells and whistles. This is the best chance most fans will have to see the Jets at training camp since there is ample seating at the stadium while most camp practices open to the public are at the team facility, which has limited room for fans.

The Jets hope to avoid a repeat of last year’s Green and White Practice. On that summer night in 2017 the team lost Quincy Enunwa for the season with a noncontact injury. We will monitor everything that happens at this practice tonight, but it surely will be a win if the Jets just avoid such bad luck.
