Rookie Brandon Bryant was given a big chance to make a final statement in advance of cutdown day. He was the one Jets defender to not come off the field in yesterday’s preseason finale and played a fairly strong game as he tried to claim a roster spot.
Second year cornerback Derrick Jones saw plenty of action as he finished his solid preseason with an interception. Fellow young cornerback Parry Nickerson also saw a lot of playing time. The Jets were looking to get him as many reps as they could after he missed extensive training camp and preseason action with an injury.
As one might expect, the prominent players on defense played either sparingly or not at all. The full defensive snap totals for the Jets in their 2018 preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles are posted in the graphic below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy it in all of its glory.
