So, that first half was ... something. The Jets backups on defense dominated the action. Some nice pass breakups, a little pressure, a sack or two, a couple of interceptions by Juston Burris and J.J. Wilcox gift wrapped by old friend Christian Hackenberg, and the Jets forged a 3-0 lead. The new kicker Jason Myers helped his cause with a long 58 yard field goal.
On offense Jets receivers were plagued with drops, drops everywhere and not a catch in sight.
Just two more quarters of fake football to go now. Try to cherish every moment. The preseason always goes by much too fast. Before you know it the games are all grown up and for real and they never call home any more and ... sniff ... sniff ... dang it I promised myself I wouldn’t cry.
Anyway, enjoy the final half of preseason Jets football. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
