His 2017: Sinkfield spent training camp with the Jets, failing to make the 53 man roster. He caught on with the Jets practice squad.
2018 will be a success if: Sinkfield develops into some sort of contributor in subpackages and on special teams. He’s 27 and signed his first NFL contract in 2013. While Sinkfield is in the middle of a transition from wide receiver earlier in his professional career, he probably is too old to be considered a developmental project.
Odds of making the roster: I’m not sure I see it for Sinkfield. There are players with better track records. There are players with greater upside. He profiles as somebody who is just around to get the team to 90 players in training camp. I view him as a Longshot (less than 25%).
