On Jordan Leggett’s performance in practice:

Not try to take anything away from him

But did Leggett have a nice practice because he was playing well or was Lee covering him most of the time which was why he had a good practice?

On how to immensely improve the Jets’ pass rush:

Personally

If Mac could land Fowler for depth pieces and a minor pick, and then flip teddy to Denver for Ray and a pick. It’s a win. Ray had 4 sacks 1st year and 8 his second year ,injured last year. But those two with Jenkins improves are OLB alot. Fowler is stuck at a 4-3 DE ,something he really isnt. I don’t know if he has really gotten the chance to play the run to see real numbers.

More on how to immensely improve the Jets’ pass rush:

Trade for Fowler I would like to see

Buster Skrine for Dante Fowler Jr. Jaguars lost Aaron Colvin in free agency and could use a slot corner. Jets would gain cap space, add a capable edge rusher, and get rid of a terrible corner who is constantly penalized. Does anyone actually think Buster Skrine is an okay NFL starting cornerback after watching him the last 3 years? I understand the problem with this trade would be there’s no slot corner behind Skrine. I know Nickerson has been injured and not practicing/playing in preseason, but I don’t know how much of an upgrade Skrine is over him. Nickerson was a 4 year starter at Tulane so he has a ton of experience for a rookie. I would even include a 6th or a 7th round pick in the trade to make it happen. This way Jets can keep Teddy B and flip him for Shane Ray or a pick in rounds 3-4. Jets arent going to be a playoff team this year anyways, so it would be good for guys like Nickerson to get game experience

On Sam Darnold’s inevitable Hall of Fame career:

Darnold will be the first player ever inducted into the HOF while still playing. Then after he’s done setting every passing record ever conceived of, the HOF will create a new wing. It’ll be the Sam I Am Wing. Only players who played for the Jets named Sam Darnold will be eligible to be inducted into that exclusive wing. He’s that good.

On Santonio Holmes’ and Wayne Hunters’ infamous fight:

If only defensive linemen were 5’11, 190 pounds. Hunter would have been a Hall of Famer.

On how to pronounce Qvale:

It’s like “quality”, except he doesn’t have “it”.

- IsThisThingOn?

On how to scheme the offense:

Really excited to see Enunwa working those drag routes and crossers when we do those bootlegs with Sam. I still want to see Q operate primarily as an H-Back. Drags, crossers, slants… send him deep every now and again… if they stick a nickel/dime DB on him then let him toss the dude around and manhandle him on running plays. But working Enunwa on the boots with Sam is a match made in heaven. Put Leggett in-line and work him up the seems. Make them pay when they try to solo him with a LB. Blow the top off with Robby, or use him to steal some cheap yards on early downs when defenses give him too much cushion. Use Kearse to attack the intermediate stuff.
