Projected Role: Cornerback depth or practice squader

His 2017: Coleman signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State. He started the regular season on the practice squad after being waived at the end of the preseason. He was briefly called up to the active roster in October but was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury shortly after.

2018 will be a success if: Coleman continues to develop his game for the future. Only 23 years old and coming from a small school, this doesn’t figure to be a make or break season for Coleman.

Odds of making the roster: It is a good sign for the Coleman that the Jets at least felt invested enough in him to give him a practice squad slot and later promote him to the active roster. With that said, there is a lot of competition at cornerback, which makes him Unlikely (25-50%).
