Jets podcast: Four who have helped their roster chances in training camp

Training camp is nearing its end in 2018 for the Jets. In fact, camp will end on Wednesday just ahead of this week’s preseason game against the Giants.

On today’s podcast we take a look at some of the players who have put themselves in position to earn surprise roster spots. Since the Jets bring 90 players to training camp each year, a certain percentage enter as longshots to actually make the team. Many players profiles as extra bodies whose main role is to fill out the roster. Sometimes these players surprise us, however, and end up putting together such a strong training camp and preseason that they earn a spot. Sometimes their competitors fail, which creates an unexpected opening. Today we look at four players whose chances on being on the final 53 are materially higher today than they were at the start of camp.
