Jets training camp news and updates 8/19

The Jets return to the practice field today as training camp winds down. We are now in the final four practices. The team is scheduled to break camp on Wednesday, just ahead of the preseason game against the New York Giants.

Preseason isn’t that important. To the extent it has importance, however, the third preseason game is probably the most significant. That is the game the starters typically play the longest. Some teams prepare for it like a regular season game, installing a game plan. The Jets are in a bit of a different mode as they still have no selected a starting quarterback. For that reason, however, the third preseason game will still have significance.
