The Jets lost their second preseason game of 2018 last night to the Washington Redskins. Washington won the game 15-13 on a walkoff field goal. The score of this game didn’t tell the entire story, though. It was not a very good performance by the Jets. The closeness of the game was a reflection of a few timely plays and the Jets playing a starting caliber quarterback against fringe roster players in the second half.
On today’s podcast we look back on the game. How was the quarterback battle impacted by an up and down first half from Sam Darnold and a quality second half by Teddy Bridgewater. We also look at some of the winners and losers from the night in Washington. Which players helped their roster causes? Which players hurt them. There will also be a focus on the performances of the offensive line and the defense. How much do these performances really matter?
Thanks for listening.
