Jets vs. Redskins Game Thread

The Jets take the field tonight for the second time in the 2018 preseason. Their opponent is a regular preseason foe, the Washington Redskins. These teams have become well-acquainted this week, having met in three joint training camp practices since Sunday. The practices were intense at times, which could make for a more heated preseason game than you typically see. We will see whether cooler heads prevail in this one.

The big story for the Jets as usual is Sam Darnold. Darnold has done everything right to this point and is in the running to earn the starting quarterback job for Week 1. Another strong effort could go a long way to clinching the spot. A stinker could do significant damage to his chances, however.
