Wednesday was full of offensive line developments for the Jets.
Starting right guard Brian Winters will miss the rest of the preseason with an apparent injury.
The #Jets are taking it slow with G Brian Winters as he is recovering from an injury and he’s not expected to play this week — or likely any game in the preseason, I’m told. The belief is Winters, who battled through a painful abdomen injury in ‘17, will be ready for the opener.

Battling injuries has been an ongoing theme of Winters’ career. Three of his last four seasons have ended on injured reserve. The Jets don’t have much depth at guard so any injury would have an impact if it lingers into preseason.
In other offensive line news, the Jets placed Ben Ijalana on injured reserve and signed Gino Gradkowski to replace him.
We have signed OL Gino Gradkowski and placed OL Ben Ijalana on IR.

Ijalana, a reserve lineman, was spotted leaving the field during Sunday’s practice with a trainer. He got extensive playing time in 2016 in place of injured Ryan Clady and Breno Giacomini but played sparingly in 2017.
Gradkowski was a fourth round pick of the Ravens in 2012. He also spent time with the Broncos, Falcons, and Panthers organizations. He has been out of the league since being cut by Carolina last September.
