On Monday Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor revealed that he has been slowed in training camp by recovery from a broken ankle in May that required surgery.
Todd Bowles addressed the injury on Tuesday, and he had some relatively harsh words for Pryor.
Jets HC Todd Bowles wasn’t happy with Terrelle Pryor revealing he broke his ankle in May: “I feel he should keep his mouth shut and leave the injuries to me.” https://t.co/wgRuPMTWzm pic.twitter.com/HNPwrfzBf3

There is no doubt that Terrelle Pryor was fined by Todd Bowles for speaking about his injury. Bowles not happy.

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems kind of odd for Bowles to get too upset over a player discussing his own injury. Even if it was an issue, it feels strange for the coach to go public with his displeasure. All it really does is extend the life of a story that isn’t all that important. It certainly could have been addressed quietly if it needed to be addressed.
With all that said, this won’t make a big difference in the long run for the 2018 Jets. Everybody will forget about this soon enough, and we can refocus on the important things as we approach the season.
