The Jets and the Redskins return to the practice field today. This is the second of three joint practices the teams will conduct before their preseason game Thursday at FedEx Field.
Sunday’s first practice was eventful. One big fight broke out between the Jets defense and Washington offense. There were a couple of other scuffles that seemed on the verge of turning into fights. Not to say training camp practices are usually bland, but there was clearly extra intensity on the field in Richmond, which is where the Redskins train. It should lead to a game on Thursday that has a little more life than your typical preseason meeting between two teams in different conferences.
