The Jets have hit the road in training camp. Today is the first of three joint practices the team will hold with the Washington Redskins in Richmond, Virginia, which is where Washington trains for the season.
This is the first time the Jets have held a joint training camp practice with another team since 2005, when they practiced against the Giants. That was Herman Edwards’ final year as head coach. Eric Mangini, Rex Ryan, and Todd Bowles prior to this year did not schedule any. These practices will lead up to a preseason game between the two teams on Thursday night.
I am sure for the players it will be a nice change of pace being able to hit somebody not wearing green in practice.
