A quick look at the offensive snap totals for the Jets in their preseason opener against the Falcons shows what you probably realized as you were watching the game. The Jets were focused on getting Sam Darnold as much action as possible. The rookie was in for 43 snaps, almost two-thirds of the plays the Jets ran on offense.
Ben Ijalana, Dakota Dozier, Ben Braden, Jonotthan Harrison, Clive Walford, and Travis Swanson were the other Jets offensive players to participate in over half the snaps on Friday.

On the defensive side of the ball, J.J. Wilcox led the Jets in snaps with 53, participating in 78% of the defense’s snaps. Derrick Jones, Xavier Coleman, Neville Hewitt, Anthony Wint, Rashard Robinson, Dylan Donahue, and Terrence Brooks were the other Jets who played in over half the snaps.
