Jets training camp news and live updates 8/1

The Jets return to the practice field today as training camp continues.

The team had its first day off yesterday after four straight days of practice. The early days of camp were dominated by an event off the field, Sam Darnold’s holdout and the accompanying contract drama. Things were settled on Monday as Darnold and the Jets agreed to terms on a deal. Darnold signed his contract in time to make his training camp debut.

With that behind us, we can now focus on the rest of training camp. The Jets have their big Green and White practice on Saturday night and are just a little bit over a week away from their preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons. Plenty is left to be sorted out.
