Jets training camp news and live updates 7/28

Today is the second day of practices at Jets training camp, and it once again seems unlikely that we will see Sam Darnold suit up for his debut. The rookie officially became a holdout yesterday as he missed the first practice of training camp, and there have not been any reports of progress.

In better news, the Jets only had to place backup safety Rontez Miles on the physically unable to perform list prior to yesterday’s first practice. The other players coming off injury were all healthy enough to participate in some capacity. Some were limited. Quincy Enunwa was spotting in a non-contact jersey, and Marcus Maye sat out part of the practice. The news on that front is still quite good. Just the fact those guys avoided the PUP list is something to be happy about.
