Jets training camp news and live updates 7/27

Jets training camp officially gets moving today. The team holds its first practice of the year in Florham Park.

Ironically, most of the attention is on a player who might not attend the practice. Third overall pick Sam Darnold still had not signed a contract as of early Friday afternoon. The quarterback of the future might miss his first official NFL practice as a result and officially become a rookie holdout. All Jets fans will continue to monitor the situation surrounding the signal caller and hope an agreement is reached quickly. The hurdle reportedly revolves around offsets.

There still will be some developments on the practice field today, and that will get some of our focus as well. The GGN Twitter widget makes its training camp debut below. It is already in midseason form, and it will refresh automatically to provide live updates to you from the day at Jets training camp.
