Gang Green Nation is hiring a deputy manager, social media manager, and community manager

Our long wait is nearly over, and Jets football is almost back. With training camp right around the corner, it’s time for Gang Green Nation to add some new members to our team to cover the Jets this season and beyond.

Gang Green Nation is looking for a deputy manager, a community manager, and a social media manager. If you’re reading this, it’s safe to assume you’re passionate about the Jets and the community we’ve built here at Gang Green Nation. What skills and qualifications should you have?

We’re looking for a deputy manager who:

• Has a passion for the Jets.
• Has a passion for and a deep understanding of the game of football.
• Ideally already enjoys reading, commenting, and participating in the Gang Green Nation community.
• Loves writing about the Jets and has the availability and drive to do so consistently.
• Can produce and edit clean copy.
• Is a self-starter and comfortable meeting deadlines.
• Has actionable ideas on how to improve Gang Green Nation’s coverage and community.
• Has the management and motivational skills to help with the day-to-day management of the site.
• Previous writing experience is strongly preferred.
• Some daytime availability to help cover breaking news is strongly preferred.

We’re looking for a community manager who:

• Has a passion for the Jets.
• Has a passion for and a deep understanding of the game of football.
• Ideally already enjoys reading, commenting, and participating in the Gang Green Nation community.
• Is passionate about fostering positive and intelligent discussion on the site.
• Has ideas on how Gang Green Nation can highlight its best reader contributions in the FanPosts.
• Has ideas on how to increase reader participation on the site.

We’re looking for a social media manager who:

• Has a passion for the Jets.
• Has a passion for and a deep understanding of the game of football.
• Ideally already enjoys reading, commenting, and participating in the Gang Green Nation community.
• Has experience with major social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Has ideas on how to expand and grow the site’s social media presence.
• Video producing skills are strongly preferred.
