Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was a guest on Mike Francesa’s first show back on WFAN yesterday. During the interview, the general manager confirmed Teddy Bridgewater is healthy.

Francesa: Is he healthy?

Maccagnan: Yeah, he’s actually out here throwing right now in some of our phase two stuff today and doing a nice job. We have a plan for him just from a rehab standpoint, but he’s doing quite well.

Maccagnan’s interview with Francesa (obviously) dealt a lot with Sam Darnold and the process by which the Jets landed the quarterback. There was also discussion on the team’s quarterback situation in general and some of the other picks the Jets made during last weekend’s NFL Draft. Maccagnan hinted that the Jets thought tight end Chris Herndon was better than a third round pick and only fell due to his knee injury. The general manager also described the process that led to the third round selection of Nathan Shepherd.
