The Jets announced on Tuesday they will hold three days of training camp practices with the Washington Redskins this summer.
The Jets announced Tuesday they’ll participate in three days of joint training camp practices with the Redskins from Aug. 12-14 at Washington’s Bon Secours Training Center in Richmond, VA.
The practices precede the Green & White’s nationally televised preseason road opener against the Redskins at FedExField on Thursday, Aug. 16. ESPN will broadcast the summer contest that will kick off at 8:00 p.m.
These joint training camp practices have become relatively common across the NFL, although the Jets have not conducted any since Herman Edwards was the head coach. That turned into a fight-filled affair that reportedly even featured members of the two coaching staffs yelling at each other.
Fill in whatever theory about why it is smart or not smart to conduct joint practices like these at training camp below.
