Free agent offensive lineman Byron Bell is getting a workout with the Jets today.
Veteran OL Byron Bell is working out for the #Jets today, source said. Has 74 career starts for three teams, most recently the #Cowboys.

Bell entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico in 2011. He spent his first four NFL seasons with the Carolina Panthers before a two years stint with the Tennessee Titans and one year with the Dallas Cowboys. As Pelissero notes, the 29 year old Bell has been a starter for much of his career, although a dislocated ankle cost him his entire 2016 and led to him taking a backup spot in Dallas in 2017.
Bell has primarily been a tackle during his career, although he does have some experience working inside.
The Jets don’t have a ton of depth on their offensive line. A player available like Bell at this time of year is usually available for a reason so I am not sure how much his signing would help. The Jets are intrigued enough to take a look, though.
