Jets mailbag: What needs to happen to make the Playoffs in 2018?

NFL: New York Jets-Rookie Minicamp Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Today we return to the podcast mailbag. Thanks to those of you who answered our mailbag call with comments and e-mails. We had a great group from which to choose.

Today we take a look at whether we should expect Todd Bowles to put together one of the top defenses in the league this season, whether Christopher Johnson has done a more effective job than his brother running the Jets, how the team should handle the distribution of snaps for quarterbacks during OTAs and training camp, what needs to happen for the Jets to make the Playoffs in 2018, the extent to which Jeremy Bates can incorporate run-pass options into the offense, and which coach from Jets history would be the best for the current team.

If you’d like to listen, we have the player at the bottom of the post. You also can subscribe to Locked on Jets on iTunes or Spotify.
