Jets trade seventh round pick for Henry Anderson

Adam Schefter reports the Jets have traded a seventh round pick for defensive lineman Henry Anderson.

A 6’6” 300 pounder, the 26 year old Anderson was a third round pick of the Colts in 2015.

Anderson has been a reasonably effective player when he’s been in the lineup for the Colts, but there have been frequent absences from the lineup. His games played totals in the NFL in his three years are 9, 11, and 9.

SB Nation’s Stampede Blue had this to say about Anderson.

The move is shocking because Anderson was one of the more promising and productive players on the defensive line when healthy.

The move makes sense because Anderson has struggled to get healthy and stay healthy during his NFL career and he doesn’t project particularly well at any position in the new Colts defensive front.

Anderson has one year remaining on his rookie contract before he is scheduled to hit free agency.
