Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller says there is a last minute push on the Jets coaching staff for the team to draft Josh Allen in the first round of tonight’s NFL Draft.
Hearing there are #Jets coaches making a late push for Josh Allen. Buckle up, folks.

Adding onto this: Jeremy Bates is a big Josh Allen fan. He has a lot of influence in that draft room.

What does any of this mean this close to the Draft? Is any of this true? I have no idea, but this is certainly an explosive rumor.
I don’t have any hard data to back this statement up, but it seems to me Allen is the fan base’s least popular potential selection by far. He has his share of fans, but there are major concerns about his inconsistency and inaccuracy in college.
There isn’t a whole lot of doubt the Jets would be making a major projection by picking Allen. He is probably the least pro ready of all the options tonight. It would come down to whether the coaching staff could develop him.
Of course, that also assumes the rumor is true.
