It has been an eventful week for the Jets. Their salary cap space has facilitated a number of additions who will hopefully upgrade the roster moving forward.
While these moves are worst discussing, two stand above all others. One was a move the Jets didn’t make. Another was one they did.
The Jets were unable to land free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins who found his way to the Minnesota Vikings. They were, however, able to trade up to obtain the third overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
These will likely be remembered as legacy moments for Mike Maccagnan. Whether they will ultimately be remembered as good or bad, we can only guess at this point. They have, however, unquestionably altered expectations for the 2018 New York Jets. On today’s podcast we discuss how expectations have changed due to these two major developments.
