Manish Mehta reports Jets safety Marcus Maye had a scope on his ankle after the season.

The Daily News has learned that Jets safety Marcus Maye underwent a scope on his ankle this offseason.

Maye, part of Gang Green’s one-two rookie punch at safety with Jamal Adams, underwent the minor procedure after suffering an ankle injury in the season finale against the Patriots. He’s already back to running in his rehab and is expected to be fine.

Maye was limited to 35 snaps in that season finale against the Patriots on New Year’s Eve. He participated in only 41.2% of the snaps that day. It was the only time all year he played less than 97% of the snaps in the game. In fact, he only missed two snaps combined in the first fifteen games.

It did not seem like a major injury at the time, but it is good to hear Maye is going to be all right all the same.
