Jets free agency news and rumor tracker with live updates 3/15

NFL: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

It is the first official full day of free agency. That has lost all meaning in the era of the legal tampering period, but the new league year officially began yesterday. The Jets and other teams had already been negotiating with and agreed to terms with players for days.

After agreeing with five players on Tuesday, the Jets sign themselves a new center, Spencer Long, on Wednesday. The team also took care of some internal housekeeping, offering one year tenders to most of its restricted free agents and signing three exclusive rights free agents. Backup safety Terrence Brooks also was the recipient of a new two year contract.

The Jets still have a lot of cap room so there is the potential for more action today. The GGN Twitter widget will keep you informed. It will refresh with live updates through the day as news about the Jets and the rest of the NFL breaks.
