The first day of the legal tampering period was relatively slow for the Jets and other NFL teams. There wasn’t much movement among the big names. There weren’t even many exciting rumors.
Overnight we finally saw some movement. Wide receiver Allen Robinson agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears.
Case Keenum also agreed to a deal with the Denver Broncos. The timing of the contract was a bit surprising. Keenum was apparently not content to wait for Kirk Cousins to set the market at quarterback. Keenum’s contract takes away one of the fallback options for the Jets if they fail to land Cousins. More significantly, however, it officially rules out Denver being a competitor for Cousins.
Will the Jets get more active today? Will we start hearing something about Cousins? The GGN Twitter Widget holds the answers to these questions. It is embedded below to provide you with live updates through the day.
