ESPN’s Todd McShay is out with his first mock draft of the offseason. He has the Jets picking Wyoming signal caller Josh Allen with the sixth selection.

Yes, it’s a running theme -- this is another landing spot for Cousins. If the Jets don’t sign him in free agency, Allen makes a lot of sense if Mayfield is off the board. There is a significant drop-off in talent after the first four QBs in this draft, so the Jets need to make sure they grab one here. Allen had an impressive performance at the Senior Bowl, showing off his arm and his mobility. There are still concerns about his accuracy and ability to make multidimensional throws consistently, but all the tools are there. And he has the prototypical QB build (6-4 7/8, 237).

Even though the Jets have the sixth pick, Allen is the fourth quarterback off the board in this mock. Picks before him were Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Bradley Chubb, Saquon Barkley, and Baker Mayfield.

Allen is one of the most polarizing prospects in this class. His production in college was paltry compared with your typical top prospect. He, however, has a rare mix of size, athleticism, and arm strength that makes his theoretical ceiling as high as any quarterback in recent memory.

What would you do if Darnold, Rosen, Chubb, Barkley, and Mayfield are off the board?
