Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is likely to return to the team’s starting lineup this Sunday at Buffalo according to Ian Rapoport.

Darnold has missed the last three games for the Jets. The team has been 0-3 with Josh McCown starting in his place.
All indications have been that Darnold’s return would be this week. He reportedly was feeling better leading up to last week game against Tennessee, but the Jets decided to go with McCown rather than run a rusty Darnold out there without a full week of reps under his belt.
If nothing else, this will at least make the Jets a more interesting team to watch. The season is long lost. All that remains is watching Darnold develop. The last month of a rookie season is not always indicative of future career trajectory, but it would be nice to see Sam end the year on a high note. If nothing else, it would provide some sorely needed late season positivity.
