Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken has joined Eric Bieniemy and Kris Richard as a Jets coaching candidate.
Source: The #Jets have requested #Bucs OC Todd Monken. One of the top offenses in NFL and head coaching background. Makes sense, especially with the focus on RPOs.

Monken has become a stealth head coaching candidate. He has coordinated the Tampa Bay offense for the last three years.
Prior to that he had a long career working in college football. His one head coaching job was at Southern Mississippi where he compiled a 13-25 record in three seasons. It must be noted, however, that his final season produced a 9-5 record so there were signs of progress within that program.
The Buccaneers are also seeking a head coach after the firing of Dirk Koetter. Monken could plausibly be a candidate in that search.
Monken is such a wild card that I can’t really comment on how good of a choice I think he’d be. I’ll have to do some more research for that. But I do like the fact the Jets are thinking outside the box.
