The Jets are making CEO Chris Johnson and general manager Mike Maccagnan available to the media today.
It sounds like the two will speak separately. Johnson is scheduled to speak at 2:00 p.m. Eastern while Maccagnan is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Eastern. These things frequently start late, though.
The topics of discussion will likely be the firing of Todd Bowles, the decision to keep Maccagnan, and the future of the franchise including the coaching search and the offseason.
We probably won’t hear a ton of substance. We seldom do at these events. The Jets will do their best to treat Bowles with dignity since there is no reason to publicly trash him on his way out the door. They also will not try to tip their hand on their upcoming plans. Maybe they will let something interesting slip, though.
