Josina Anderson reports Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson may be held out of today’s game after missing practice and meetings this week.
I'm told #Jets CB Trumaine Johnson may not play today after a source said "he didn't show for some meetings, nor practice." I'm also told it's posb CB Darryl Roberts may not start. The source added Roberts "was late for some scheduled events but showed for meetings & practice."

As you can see, Darryl Roberts’ status is also up in the air.
This is the type of stuff you sometimes see near the end of a lost season. It is notable to see Johnson’s name mixed up in all of this. The Jets gave him a huge contract as a free agent.
Through the first year, the contract has looked nothing short of catastrophic. Johnson has missed time with injuries, and his play has been poor when healthy.
We will wait to hear Johnson’s explanation. Based on the report, it certainly doesn’t sound good for him. It brings back memories of Dimitri Patterson disappearing from training camp four years ago on the surface.
Shortly after signing the deal Johnson stated, “I bring leadership to the team.” If true, this would sound like the opposite.
