Week 17 Late Games Open Thread

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

Here we are, the final week of the 2018 NFL regular season. This week there is no Thursday Night Football, no Saturday football, and no Monday Night Football, so the slate of late games is unusually packed.

Perhaps the best of the late afternoon games features the 11-4 Chicago Bears heading to Minnesota to take on their arch rivals, the 8-6-1 Minnesota Vikings. With the Bears still in the hunt for a first round bye and the Vikings still trying to wrap up the sixth and final seed in the NFC playoffs, this one has the makings of a final week gem.

In other late games the 7-7-1 Cleveland Browns try to finish with a winning record for the first time in forever when they face off against the 9-6 Baltimore Ravens, who are trying to secure an NFC North title; the 11-4 Los Angeles Chargers try to stay alive for an AFC West title against the 6-9 Denver Broncos; the 12-3 Los Angeles Rams try to wrap up the second seed in the NFC when they go up against the 4-11 San Francisco 49ers; and the 3-12 Arizona Cardinals try to finish a lost season on a high note, while simultaneously helping the Jets’ draft position, as they attempt to take down the 9-6 Seattle Seahawks. In other late games the 8-7 Philadelphia Eagles try to keep their playoff hopes alive against the collapsing 7-8 Washington Redskins; the 11-4 Kansas City Chiefs try to wrap up the number one seed in the AFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs against the 4-11 Oakland Raiders; and the 8-6-1 Pittsburgh Steelers try to stay alive when they take on the 6-9 Cincinnati Bengals.

Enjoy the games everybody. Use this thread to comment on whichever late afternoon games catch your fancy.
