Jets Week 16 Anti-Game Ball: Leonard Williams

NFL: Green Bay Packers at New York Jets Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The date was September 14, 2014.

It was the last time the Jets and the Packers faced off before yesterday. In that game the Jets blew a big lead and lost. They had to play the decisive moments of that game without a star defensive lineman because said lineman had gotten himself ejected for taking a swing at a Packer.

Sometimes history repeats itself. Yesterday the Jets blew a big lead to the Packers and lost. Once again, a star defensive lineman watched the deciding moments from the locker room after getting himself ejected for taking a swing at an opponent.

In 2014 Muhammad Wilkerson was the ejected Jets defensive lineman. Yesterday it was Leonard Williams.

There were plenty of culprits in this Week 16 loss, especially on the defensive side of the ball. At least everybody else was on the field giving an effort.

When his team could have used him for a big play, Leonard Williams was in the locker room because of his own selfishness.

For that reason he gets my anti-game ball.
