When does a loss result in a 20% increase in fan confidence?
That is the state of the Jets. The team was defeated last week by the Houston Texans, but this week’s FanPulse results show that 32% of Jets fans are now confident in the direction of the team, way up from the 12% of one week ago.

At the risk of stating the obvious, this increase in confidence can be explained by two words, Sam Darnold.
Darnold played one of his best games in the loss to Houston. The 2018 season is long lost for the Jets. The remaining games are all about the performance of the rookie quarterback. If things continue to look good, people are going to be excited heading into 2019.
