The initial Pro Bowl teams have been named. The Jets will have three representatives, safety Jamal Adams, kicker Jason Myers, and return man Andre Roberts.

There are no great surprises here. Adams had put together a stellar second season in an otherwise dismal 2018 for the Jets. He is a virtual lock to be voted Team MVP next week when the Jets hand out their annual end of season awards.
Myers and Roberts have put together surprisingly brilliant years anchoring a surprisingly brilliant Jets special teams unit. I don’t think anybody even wanted Myers near the Week 1 roster, while Roberts had to win a camp battle against Trenton Cannon to earn the return job. Now both are all-stars.
Jets linebacker Avery Williamson did not make the initial Pro Bowl team, but he was named an alternate.

As players drop out due to injury and other commitments, Williamson might earn his way into the game.
