Jets vs Texans Second Half Thread

The first half of the New York Jets game against the Houston Texans is in the books, and the Jets trail the Texans 16 - 9.

The Jets opened the game going backwards on each of their first three plays before punting. The Texans then drove right down the field for a field goal. The Jets answered with a long field goal drive of their own, and the Texans then went right back down the field for a field goal and a 6 - 3 lead as the teams exchanged scoring drive after scoring drive.

The Jets then started another decent drive that got derailed with consecutive block in the back penalties, followed by an Elijah McGuire lost fumble. The very next play DeAndre Hopkins burned Darryl Roberts for a 46 yard TD catch and the Texans began to take control of the game at 13 - 3. After a three and out by the Jets the Texans went on yet another scoring drive, their fourth consecutive scoring drive, that ended in a 53 yard field goal and a 16 - 3 Texans lead.

The Jets closed out the half with a long 83 yard touchdown drive, a beautifully engineered drive by Sam Darnold culminating in a touchdown pass to Robby Anderson. After Jason Myers missed the extra point the Jets went into halftime trailing 16 - 9. They were fortunate not to have been blown out, as the Jets defense was unable to stop the Texans scoring every time they had the ball, outside of the final 30 seconds of the half.

We go into the second half with the Jets trailing 16 - 9, hoping to somehow pull out a win and up their season victory total to five.

Enjoy the second half everyone.
