The first half of the New York Jets game against the Miami Dolphins is in the books, and the Jets trail the Dolphins 6 - 3.
On offense the Jets couldn’t get anything going. The running game was anemic, the passing game was all short passes and largely ineffective. The only drive the Jets moved the ball ended in a bad interception by Sam Darnold who didn’t see the coverage underneath. Then the Jets got something going with under two minutes remaining as Sam Darnold ran a nice two minute drill down the field for a late 48 yard field goal.
On defense the Jets played reasonably well but gave up a long field goal drive towards the end of the half when the Dolphins had multiple key 3rd and 4th down conversions to extend the drive.
We go into the second half with the Jets trailing by only 3 points, looking to get their record to 4-5 against their AFC East rivals.
Enjoy the second half everyone.
