The traditional Thanksgiving Day football overdose continues with an NFC East rivalry game with first place on the line between the first place Washington Redskins and the second place Dallas Cowboys.
The 6-4 Washington Redskins come into the game a surprise occupant of first place in the NFC East. The Redskins have had troubles on offense all year, with only one game in which they have exceeded 24 points scored. The defense has bailed them out, holding opponents to 17 points or less six times this season. With a win against the Cowboys in 2018 already in the books, the Redskins look to make it a sweep today in Dallas.
The 5-5 Dallas Cowboys come into the game winners of two straight and looking to pull into a first place tie in the NFC East with a win against the Redskins today. The Cowboys are much like the Redskins in that they struggle to score on offense, ranked 25th in the NFL in scoring, while they excel on defense, ranked 3rd in the NFL in scoring defense. Given the strengths of these two teams this game could be a low scoring grind it out affair.
It’s the Cowboys and the Redskins in a traditional Thanksgiving Day clash. Enjoy the game everyone.
