Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Jets fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

This week’s FanPulse questions asked NFL fans to vote on midseason awards.

Many of the results will come as no surprise. Sean McVay came in first for Coach of the Year. Patrick Mahomes was midseason MVP. Khalil Mack earned Defensive Player of the Year despite his recent injury.

When it came to Rookie of the Year, Sam Darnold was fourth behind Saquon Barkley, Baker Mayfield, and Kerryon Johnson.

In spite of how great Barkley has been, I’m sure plenty of Giants fans would be happier to have the number four player in this poll.

Each week our FanPulse survey has asked Jets fans to predict the outcome of the next game.

Jets fans are a realistic bunch. They have correctly predicted five of the eight games so far. Basking in the glow of Week 1, Jets fans incorrectly predicted wins over the Dolphins and Browns the next two weeks. Fans also pessimistically and incorrectly picked a loss to Denver when the team was mired in a three game losing streak. Aside from that, Jets fans have been pretty accurate.

How are fans feeling right now? It’s a mixed bag. Only 31% of Jets fans express confidence in the direction of the team after the loss to Chicago, a big drop from last week’ 55%. With that said, fans project a 1 point win over the Dolphins this week.
