As we look back on another Jets loss, it is time to hand out the Week 10 anti-game ball.
Frequently this year I have foregone handing out an anti-game ball to one player and instead focused on one unit. When the Jets lose, it seems like there is a systemic catastrophe that goes beyond one player.
Sunday’s pathetic effort was team-wide. The entire organization deserves the anti-game ball from the owner down.
I know plenty of people will want to give the anti-game ball simply to the coaches, but let’s not let anybody off the hook here. The coaches deserve their share of the anti-game ball, but this was a team-wide catastrophe. On the first play of the game, the Jets’ highest paid player was soundly beaten by a wide receiver who had just been signed off the practice squad. The failures to execute continued through the game.
The entire organization gets my anti-game ball, and it should get yours as well.
