Trumaine Johnson to miss Jets Week 5 game vs. Broncos

As the Jets try to end their three game losing streak on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, they will have to do it without their top cornerback. Trumaine Johnson will sit out the game with a strained quad. Head coach Todd Bowles announced the news to the media on Friday.

Johnson was the Jets’ biggest addition in free agency during the 2018 offseason. The team signed the former Rams cornerback to a 5 year, $72.5 million contract. Thus far the results have been disappointing as Johnson has been consistently burned in coverage through the first quarter of the season.
