Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers dealing with serious illness, might miss Sunday’s game vs. Broncos

When Jets head coach Todd Bowles addressed the press on Friday, he revealed that defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers might miss Sunday’s game due to a serious illness.

On a side note, Coach Rodgers couldn’t do his interviews today because he is ill of a nature we can’t discuss right now and we’ll see going forward where he is and go from there. He won’t be here today and he was not at practice.

Bowles didn’t go into any greater detail about Rodgers’ illness or his long-term prognosis. Obviously football is secondary to a person’s health. We certainly send our best to Coach Rodgers and hope he gets better quickly.
