On the inevitable fact that Darnold will be better than Brady AND Brees:

Darnold can make throws that took Brady and Brees 2 to 3 years to learn to make, and he doesn’t need a lot of time in the pocket, it’s just a matter of coaching and putting the best talent around him, Jets could lose the next 2 games because of the competition they’re facing but have enough talent to take 1 of those 2 games

On Darnold’s brilliance on the throw to Herndon:

I couldn’t agree more in reference to that completion to Herndon over Hooker. I thought that was a phenomenal throw, not lucky like the analysts chuckled about. He put that ball where only his guy could get it and his guy made a great catch. Also, that throw to Robby was exactly as you described… perfect. Forget “tight window”… that was a “no window” throw. Also of interest, I watched Sam mic’d up from this past week and didn’t know his arm got hit on the pick. It makes me feel a bit better about it too cause I was speechless as that thing was quacking through the air. Thanks again, NY Giants.

On how much of a stud Rishard Matthews is:

I don’t know why you are shrugging about bringing in a megastar 2015-17: only players to average 9.0+ yards per target on 250+ targets: Rob Gronkowski Julio Jones Adam Thielen Brandin Cooks Doug Baldwin Antonio Brown Marvin Jones And, Rishard Matthews Rishredder.

On why Dez is still unemployed:

Dez on field performance has diminished but his ego and crazy have not.

-Jetset17

On an option for a new head coach:

How about Mike Tomlin for our next HC?

Id love him. He’s a winner. Has had success on both sodes of the ball. Would bring us instant credibility with free agents and around the league. I think it’s time for him and the Steelers to move in a different direction.

On Jets Fans’ Overreactions:

The week after an NFL loss....

Reconsider everything and fire everyone! Rookie QB of no name offense gets manhandled by veteran top defense in the league….Unprecedented! Only the Jets!

On why cutting Terrelle Pryor Makes No Sense:

Terrelle Pryor

This thing just bothers me. It makes no sense: Fact 1: Jets cut Pryor after an injury, saying they’re willing to re-sign him when he’s healthy. Fact 2: Less than a week later, Pryor says he’s near full health and ready to “dominate” again, Lol. Undertood, Pryor is no Julio Jones, but he’s better than some of the bums we threw out there last week. The point is, why in the world would you cut him and then re-sign him a couple weeks later? Just to waste a million or two? Its ridiculous. What is the truth here? Woud the Jets be open to re-signing him or not? And if they are, why did they do what they did? And who’s to say we’ll be the winning bidder even if we do want to bring him back? I don’t know, man. The only thing that makes sense to me is that they actually do not have any interest in bringing him back, and were just saying that for PR reasons.

On the Revis/Darnold Connection:

Revis and Darnold

07: Jets trade up with Panthers to draft Revis 13: Jets trade Revis to Bucs draft Sheldon Richardson 17: Jets trade Richardson to Seahawks for 2nd round pick 18: Jets trade 2nd round pick and 6th pick to Colts and draft Darnold

On the Early Success of Herndon:

I was as critical as anyone of the Herndon pick

I mean a guy who didn’t produce much in college, was hurt last season, and didn’t really knock the measurables out of the park? In round 4? “This guy, really?” was basically my thought after that pick was announced. But I’m very happy with the early returns. Really nice job by Macc on this one

On Why We Shouldn’t Give Up on the Season Just Yet:

Weak AFC

After all of these injuries and inconsistent play, we’re still only one game out of the wild card. If we can stay around .500 until the bye, and then hopefully get healthier along the way, we’ll be playing meaningful games in December. Not getting my hopes up, but I think the weak nature of the AFC is just worth noting. Plenty of mediocre play going around. How about the 3-4 Jags, a Superbowl caliber team being held back by Blake Sanchez? If the season ended today, they would be 11th seed, behind us! Ridiculous. If Mac can get a healthy receiver in the building, a run is definitely possible.
