The first half of the New York Jets game against the Minnesota Vikings is in the books, and the Jets trail the Vikings 10 - 7.
The Vikings took the opening kickoff and moved quickly down the field on a four play, 68 yard drive, meeting little resistance from the Jets defense, to take a quick 7-0 lead.
After a few exchanges of punts the Jets answered with a touchdown drive of their own near the end of the first quarter on a 12 yard strike from Sam Darnold to Chris Herndon, evening the score at 7-7.
The Jets defense played great football after the opening Vikings drive, but bad snaps and shaky special teams play repeatedly gave the Vikings great field position. On offense the wind played havoc with the passing game, making scoring drives hard to come by.
We go into the second half with the Jets looking to get themselves above .500 and move into position to make a run at first place in the AFC East.
Enjoy the second half everyone.
