If they had to choose a young QB other than Sam Darnold, Jets fans would want Patrick Mahomes

This week’s FanPulse numbers are out.

Fans from across the league were asked whether they would most want to build their team for the next decade around Carson Wentz, Deshaun Watson, Jared Goff, or Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes was the winner, especially in the Jets fanbase. 58% of Jets fans went for Mahomes. 27% went for Wentz. 14% went for Goff. None went for Watson. (Something tells me Watson would have been higher had this question been posed a year ago.)

Meanwhile, Jets fan confidence is surging.

Just two weeks ago, an NFL low 12% of Jets fans felt confident in the direction of the franchise. Today that number stands at 69%.

Jets fans aren’t going overboard with their optimism, though. According to this week’s prediction segment of the poll, the fanbase expects the Jets to lose a hard fought game by 2 points.
